Aricha Washing Station
This Single Origin represents Heirloom Ethiopian varieties, grown in red-brown clay soil at high elevations by smallholder farmers, most of whom work plots no larger than a hectare.
These producers handpick their ripe cherries and deliver them to the Aricha Washing Station, where they are sorted and processed with great care by some of the most talented coffee makers in Ethiopia.
Although each farmer’s contribution may seem small, together they create something extraordinary. While traceability to individual growers is challenging due to how coffee is processed and blended at the station, the importer returns to Aricha year after year for its distinctive quality, thanks to trusted relationships with the export partners.
No synthetic inputs are used in the growing of this coffee — a reflection of traditional and sustainable farming practices that respect the land and the community. Aricha is a celebration of what Ethiopian coffee can be: bright, complex, and deeply satisfying.
