Shady Bader | Carbonic Maceration | Gesha
Sugary peach, vanilla, black cherry
Colombia, El Vergel, Tolima
About the farm
The Bader brothers, Shady and Elias, are meticulous in harvest and processing, also experimenting with controlled fermentation for this lot, adding a boozy undertone to the cup. You'll find intense aromatics, big fruity notes and loads of sweetness. We are thrilled to share the first harvest from the Gesha plants at El Vergel.
About the variety
In 1996, Gesha (or Geisha) was planted on a hill in Panama at Hacienda Esmeralda. These seeds and the resulting coffee would change the meaning of specialty coffee forever, Gesha is highly sought after for its flavour profile (and priced accordingly).
